All UK and Northern Ireland volunteers can create their fundraising pages through www.justgiving.com. Your family and friends can sponsor you directly online. This will make it easy for you to add to your volunteer contribution if you are living in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland. All you have to do is register with them and then send all future contributions via www.justgiving.com.

Changes to Gift Aid
UK/NI volunteers - The UK government reduced the amount of Gift Aid from 28% to 25% and this will become effective from 01st May 2011.
When income tax changed from 22% to 20%, Gift Aid also changed from 28.2% to 25% per donation. As this was a significant loss for charities, the Treasury introduced a temporary scheme called transitional relief. This made up for the loss, giving charities an extra 3p per pound on all Gift Aid claims. This scheme will run until April 2011.
