The Trust received a number of awards in October for the quality of its housing in South Africa.
 
Awards received:
 
The Trust won the Provincial Govan Mbeki Housing Award 2009 for being the Winning Subsidy Builder of the Year 2009 / Gauteng region. Presented by Acting HOD of Gauteng Housing Department, Mongezi Mnyani and received by Jan Matabologa, Director of Operations Gauteng region.

The Trust also won the Merit Award 2009 at the South African Housing Foundation Awards in Cape Town held between the 11th and 16th October 2009 – Vuyiswa Budlu, Head of New Works/facilitation won the award. (In recognition of her spirit and drive in getting the job done in 3 Provinces across SA). Presented by MEC of Housing Western Cape, Bonginkosi Madikizela and received by Vuyiswa.

 
The Trust won the Best Exhibition Award 2009 at the South African Housing Foundation Conference in Cape Town held between the 11th and 16th October 2009. ( MHI/NMTT having the best stand at Conference). Presented by MEC of Housing Western Cape, Bonginkosi Madikizela and Steve Benson, Past President of the Chartered Institute of Housing – United Kingdom and received by Hillary Faulmann, PA to Managing Director/ MHI.
