On Tuesday 25th May representatives of the MHI team attended the Go For Gold annual dinner.
Go for Golds mission is to develop disadvantaged young people through education, training and mentoring and to endeavour to become the first choice supplier of students for the construction industry. The MC for the evening was Deon Bing from KFM and he certainly got the crowd going especially for the auction which generated a lot of money for the Go For Gold programme!

The guest speaker on the night, Premier Helen Zille, commended the initiative, the students and the companies that support Go For Gold. She believes the young people of South Africa are the future and applauded them for their hard work and dedicated to the programme. Mellon Housing is involved in the programme and is training one of their students, Celeste Watson. Celeste started training with the charity in Janurary 2009 and will continue with us until the end of the year. In 2011 she will then go on to tertiary studies which MHI will be sponsoring.
