The Moatrix Festival is in its 2nd year and was a huge success last year. It's an action packed charity weekend for all the family, with up to 10 bands each day and 6 singer/songwriters playing alternatively with bands. There is an outdoor bar at hand so as not to miss any of the live music and huge BBQ to keep hunger at bay.
We also have an Art Show going on thanks to local volunteer artists Lorna farrell and Anna Duffy. Local technology and lights expert Andrew Minnock will be bringing it all to life. Including visual delights, lots of lights, sounds and interactive special effects to amaze the kids. This event is especially suited to family's as the inflatable garden which includes inflatable Bouncy Castle, Slide and obstacle coarse is completely in-closed with 6ft walls leaving the little ones very little escape options bar out the single gate where parents can be comfortably waiting and watching. Face painting, a clown and lots more for the Kids will be there on the day too.
It's on Sat 28th and Sun 29th of August in Don's Bar Gardens, Moate. From Midday to Midnight non-stop live music.
It's all in aid of the Nial Mellon Township Trust. Myself Stuart Clifford, my fiancé Zara Malone and our close friend Damion Claffey are the event organizers and are making the trip to Capetown, South Africa this coming November to build houses for unfortunate family's that otherwise live up to 17 in a shack in very poor conditions.

Our Headlining Acts are Hogan of Tullamore, Co Offaly and Katet of Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo.
Hogan are Sat nights Headliners at The Moatrix. They had a cracking gig recently at the Athlone Music Festival, and in my opinion they owned the stage last Friday night at Mullingars One Night Stand.
Ka tet who greatest gig to date is supporting Aslan early last year, a great day for this hard rockin three piece. They are also playing the Mindfield section of this years Electric Picnic Festival no less but I have it on good authority its The Moatrix there really looking forward to rocking out at.
Other Acts to mention:
Keith Barry's musical support act Cleere are playing The Moatrix this year on Sat 28th Aug in the afternoon. They have supported Keith Barry in 80 dates this year in front of 75,000 people in total, finishing recently with 20 dates in the olympia.
Dancezone of Moate are joining us on Sunday 29th of August in the afternoon. They have just won TV3's national Glee club Competition last month and will be playing the O2 arena for the Child line concert at the end of the year. We're all very proud of them.
Fergal Cox, Bean Dolan and Tadgh Kelleher of Athlone are 3 of our singer/songwriters confirmed.
Thank you so much for taking the time and helping our charity and please call any time for further information.
Yours Sincerely,
Stuart Clifford.
