Niall Mellon Township Trust Brings Shack Life to Manchester
Posted by Cormac Mc Cann on 01 Aug 09
Replica shacks usually lived in by poor families in the townships of South Africa have emerged overnight in Manchester city centre locations. The shacks and mini-township have been erected by the Niall Mellon Township Trust to raise awareness of the charity in the UK through its Make Manchester Proud Campaign, aimed at recruiting 70 Volunteers from Manchester for its annual House Building Blitz to South Africa in 2010. The township and shacks will be on display from Wed 19th August to Thurs 20th August.
