In the largest civic awards ceremony ever hosted by the City of Cape Town, The Niall Mellon Township Trust was honoured at a prestigious ceremony on Thursday, April 16, 2009.

The charity was awarded the Mayor’s Medal. The medal was awarded for exceptional achievement in the category of Social Affairs and Services. The Niall Mellon Township Trust is the first foreign charity to receive a Medal.

Every Volunteer should feel very proud of the role which you have played in earning this award. This recognition of seven year’s work in Cape Town is very special and Niall was delighted to accept the award on our behalf.
