Paul Blake, Development Facilitator with the Niall Mellon Township Trust paid a recent visit to Wallacedene Secondary School and Masakhane Educare Crèche to get an update on the progress of the garden and playground that were created by volunteers on the Building Blitz 2010 and things are going really well:

• New crops have been planted in both vegetable gardens.
• The crèche have constructed ‘raised’ vegetable beds which was advised during the training course.
• Some trees at the school have not taken well but this is more the exception than the rule.
• The play areas at the crèche are still being used a lot.

Thanks again to everyone for all their wonderful work to make this happen, It's great to see all new facilities really being used and all the fantastic crops growing!
