Mellon Housing Initiative (MHI is the SA construction arm of the Niall Mellon Township Trust) received a request from the University of Johannesburg to assist their Construction Management, Engineering and Architect Students with their practical phase.
 
All the students are from a previously disadvantage background and due to inadequate funding they are not able to fulfill their practical phase of their studies.  The University of Johannesburg approached MHI and requested assistance – MHI will have the first group of students working on site in Johannesburg for a period of 2 months per annum for the next 3 years as from July this year.

MHI and NMTT are delighted to assist the University of Johannesburg and will also work closely with the Ekhuruleni Municipality. We are very exciting about this partnership and hope the students will gain a lot of knowledge and experience in their placements. Good luck to the all the students who are taking part.
