- Introduce us to local schools; both primary and secondary.
Achievements and Highlights
Throughout the year the Volunteer Clubs worked tirelessly together to create a sense of community awareness among friends and supporters of the charity. Working together they came up with some exceptional fundraising ideas. Examples of some of their fundraising and social events were:
- Hard Hat Day: 2,500 volunteers
- The Pilots Run – 220 volunteers
- The Launch of the Midlands Mini Marathon – 155 volunteers
- A float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Offaly and Cavan – local Volunteer Clubs
- Two fundraising seminars – North Dublin Volunteer Club
- Apart from these fundraising successes they also got many new people involved in the clubs locally and thanks to their efforts we have 1,600 members signed up.
