Get Your Running Shoes On!
Come Run With Us - We're Building Hope and Homes in South Africa
through the Marine Corps Marathon!
Deadline for Registration is 5th August 2012

This year, for the very first time, the Niall Mellon Townships Initiative is participating in the historic Marine Corps Marathon, one of the most popular races in the country. Known as "The People's Marathon" and voted "The Best Marathon in the Mid-Atlantic," the race honors the dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism of its participants. We would love to have you join our team to have a fun-filled day while helping us raise funds for a great cause - building decent homes to replace the shacks where too many families in the townships of South Africa are now forced to live.
There are only 25 places available. The registration fee for each entry is $92. Additionally, we are asking that each runner raise $400 for the Niall Mellon Townships Initiative. Of course, if you’re able to raise more, that would be fantastic and would allow our non-profit to help even more families in need. We are a federally registered 501(c) (3), so all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. While the deadline for registration is August 5th and the registration fee is due with your application, fundraising will continue through October 28th, so the funds you raise for our non-profit are not due until then.
Date of Race: October 28, 2012
Start Time: 8.00 am.
Location: The course begins in Arlington, VA and runs throughout the Washington, D.C. area, ending at the Marine Corps Memorial.
