Liam gets to the point, Day 6

Posted by Liam Hipwell, Lay About Lawyer, Royal Blue on 12 Nov 09

Night before - Quiet, a few drinks in the Dubliner Bar, bed early. Battery Low!

6.15am: No change

8.15am: Plastering

Sunny at last 20 degrees plus, things are looking up.

11.30am: Disaster strikes. Dust etc. into my eyes. Burning, Burning, Burning...

But not to worry, I am immediately delivered into the hands of the medics.

No M.A.S.H. here let me me tell you, and anyway we can't afford the helicopters.

Medics scanned my eyes from all angles with all sorts of torches and instruments and after an age pronounce "no need for amputation".

We will try plan A first - eye wash - scrub - rub etc.

Finally the burning, burning, burning recedes to a warm glow - relief at last. The eye is saved!

Back to work with a patch on my eye. No sympathy from my team "What kept you?"

What a wonderful bunch of medics, caring, professional and wonderful humors.
Well done, thank you all.

Tonight is Royal Blue Party Night. 70 mad people in one restaurant, will be fun.
I will be wearing an Arab Sheik outfit.
