Today wasn't one that went according to plan. My work buddy (we all pair with someone to look out for each other) wasn't feeling well on arrival on site this morning, so we went straight to the medical headquarters, where she collapsed. At lease we were surrounded by the medical team when it happened.  The medical HQ was like a scene from M*A*S*H*. There was a long queue of people waiting, some in bandages, some with eye patched, but mostly sick stomachs and chest infections (from all the dust). The medical team were working so hard to get through the queue, but as fast as they could treat them more were arriving! This was the first day since I arrived that I saw my brother and his sister-in-law, and they too were in the queue (nothing too serious - just wheezy from the dust like many others). I laughed when I saw them. You'd know they worked seriously hard all week. Both of them look exhausted, slightly pale, and Annette was perfectly styled any more! She's been trowing up blocks to brickies, which I can only imagine has been really tough work. But nobody is without their smile no matter how hard they work.  I had to come back to the hotel with my work buddy and make sure she was okay, and do the tea and sympathy job. Neither of us got as far as the garden today, so we'll see huge changes tomorrow. So much happens in one day! I have to say well done to the medical team. They are on duty day and night. The nature of the building site and poor sanitation means they have so many people to look after and they are doing a super job. Some are working while feeling unwell themselves.
