Aoife Burke-Day 1

Stepping off the plane yesterday morning we were greeted by heat and Niall Mellon himself. Then it was a quick stop at the hotel and it straight to the site where the children from the local schools welcomed us with songs and dancing. We met up with our teams properly for the first time after the Welcoming speeches and then we had the walk in. Seeing all the children with their signs and big smiles was incredible. They were so cheerful, energetic and we were really made to feel at home.

After a quick introduction from our Emerald Foreman Liam Mullen. We got straight down to work until 6pm when we were bussed back to the hotel for the night.
